All materials must be requested via the UO Libraries catalog at least five business days in advance. You will receive an email notification when your items are ready to be viewed in the reading room.

Use your Duck ID to login to your library patron account. Then, follow our instructions for requesting materials.
General Public
If you are not affiliated with the UO, or you do not have an Oregon Card, you'll need to request a SCUA Only patron account using our online registration form.
Once your registration has been accepted, you'll receive an email with a permanently assigned User ID and a temporary password (which you can change by accessing My Account/Personal Settings).
If you require assistance accessing your account (e.g., expired account), please contact our reference email. You can reset your password on your own if you remember the User ID or email address used to create your account.

Borrowing Policy for SCUA Only Accounts
Eligibility
- Members of the public who are not affiliated with the UO and do not have an Oregon Card.
What Can Be Borrowed
- Items in Special Collections and University Archives
- SCUA Only account holders do not have access to other Libraries resources

Borrower Responsibilities
- Materials at Special Collections and University Archives are subject to SCUA's Access and Use Policy.
Loan Periods
- Items will remain on hold for you 30 days from the date that the requested item becomes available.
- Viewing an item in the reading room and requesting that it be put on hold will extend the loan period for 30 additional days.
