This license agreement is the one that authors must agree to in order to deposit works into the University of Oregon Libraries' Scholars' Bank institutional repository. The intent of this license is to give the Libraries permission to post the material openly on the Web and to take the necessary steps to preserve the material.
Authors who submit their work to Scholars' Bank retain the copyright to their work, unless they explicitly give it away to a third party. The University of Oregon Libraries do not seek or claim copyright on any of the works submitted to Scholars' Bank and authors may continue to formally publish their work and make copies available elsewhere without obtaining permission from the Libraries.
The Libraries charge no fee for the service and collect no revenue from the archive.
