Can I check out a study room?
Yes! Study rooms are available to check out for JD, CRES, and LLM students. To see which rooms are reservable, see Law Library Study Rooms (note: Room reservations not claimed within 15-minutes of start time will be canceled). The loan period on study rooms are two hours (group rooms) and 4 hours (individual rooms).
Where are the printers?
Printers are available on all floors of the Library (black & white printers on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor; color printer on the 2nd floor) as well as the student lounge. We also have a Bookeye scanner, which allows you to save scans to a thumb drive or to email to yourself. Scanning is free!
Use Scan and Deliver to get articles and chapters from the UO Libraries emailed to you. Fast and free!
Are the vending machines available?
Yes. Vending machines are available. Credit/debit cards only (no cash).
How can I get research help?
Email the law reference librarians at lawref@uoregon.edu. Librarians can help you identify and use resources needed for research projects, writing papers, or to reinforce what you are learning in Legal Research & Writing. Law school journals editors are also encouraged to contact the librarians, e.g. for source pulls. See our Research Help page for more.
I need study aids!
Go online! We provide free online study aids to all law students. Try out the West Academic Study Aids and the Aspen Learning Library. They duplicate the print study aids and are available 24/7.
If you want a print study aid, sign into the library catalog and try this search: “study aids” and torts (or other topic). Limit to UO Libraries. Sort by newest.
What about books and videos?
Stacks are accessible to browse. You can also request materials to be picked up at the Law Circulation Desk or at other UO branch locations. Sign in to the library catalog to request print study aids, books, and videos. For more about borrowing library materials, see our Get Library Materials page. Questions? Call 541-346-3088.
