The University of Oregon Libraries is an essential partner in the University’s educational, research, and public service mission. We are committed to providing the university with outstanding library resources, programs, and services. We are dedicated to creating welcoming, inclusive environments for all members of our diverse community. With five locations on the Eugene campus, and branches at UO Portland and at the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology, the Libraries offers many flexible and well-equipped environments for library users’ research and learning needs.

Announcing the 2026 UO Libraries-OPA Poetry Prize Winners (external link)

Congratulation to Paris Woodward-Ganz and Nina Gomez, recipients of the 2026 Libraries-OPA Undergraduate Poetry Prize. Sponsored by the UO Libraries and the Oregon Poetry Association (OPA), these biennial awards honor high achievement in creative writing by UO students. Awardees receive $500 and their prize-winning poems are published in "Verseweavers," the OPA journal.

UO Faculty—Apply for the Book Publication Subvention Fund (external link)

As the costs of publishing in reputable academic venues continue to rise, a new pilot program can help. Allowable support includes subvention charges, page charges, open publishing charges, and fees or labor costs for specific publication services (e.g., indexing, abstracting, copyediting). Funding dispersal is first come, first served; early applications recommended!
