Where are you located?
We are located in the Knight Library, 2nd floor North, Paulson Reading Room. We are accessible via the north stairwell and Elevator 5. All our materials must be requested in advance and viewed in the Paulson Reading Room during our open hours, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What do you have?
We have a wide variety of materials that you can request and view in our Paulson Reading Room. Read more about collecting areas.
How do I find something?
Our materials are searchable in the UO Libraries online catalog. You can read more about searching our collections. We also have reference services available via email at spcarref@uoregon.edu.
Who can use your collections?
We encourage everyone to come in and use them, including undergraduates, high school students, and the general public. We require that everyone using our materials register as a patron and request materials in advance. Read more about our access and use policies.
Do I need to make an appointment?
No. We do not require appointments, but we do require patrons to register and request materials at least five business days in advance of their visit.
Can you help with research?
We provide 30 minutes of reference and research services for our collections. Please send any reference or research questions to our email at spcarref@uoregon.edu.
May I take photos or make copies?
We do not allow scanners or photocopiers in the Paulson Reading Room due to the fragility of our materials. We allow non-flash photography. Please see our camera use policy.

Can I just study in your Paulson Reading Room?
No. For the security of our materials, we require that the room be used only for research using Special Collections and University Archives materials. Knight Library has many study spaces, including the quiet zone in the South Reading Room on the 2nd floor and reservable study spaces.

Historic Newspapers? Check out Historic Oregon Newspapers or search the newspaper title in the UO Library catalog.
Yearbooks? UO Libraries have several full sets of Oregana in print. You can also see them digitized in Scholars' Bank.
Architectural Drawings? We have many collections of architectural materials, as does the Design Library. You can search for them in the UO Library catalog and our finding aid database.
Theses? You can find physical copies of theses in the general collection and SCUA by searching the UO Library catalog. Many theses have also been digitized and are available in Scholars' Bank.
