Knight Library

About the Library

Knight Library houses collections in the humanities, social sciences, music, and business, as well as government documents, microforms, aerial photography, and maps. Knight Library also provides a variety of reservable rooms for individual and collaborative study, and numerous services to support teaching and learning. It is UO's largest library and is located on the west side of campus in Eugene.

Douglass Room

The Douglass Room, located on the third floor of Knight Library, is a hub for music and audio resources. With listening stations, creative workstations, an Audio Collection, and recording studios, it’s the perfect space for research, production, and inspiration.

The DREAM Lab features reservable and walk-in spaces to support collaborative work on digital research, education, and media initiatives and programming.

Innovate, Design, Educate, Aspire (IDEA) Space

The Knight Library IDEA Space (Innovate, Design, Educate, Aspire) is a collaborative environment created with input from University Innovation Fellows and the Lundquist College of Business to inspire creativity and idea generation for University of Oregon students.

The Knight Library is the largest library facility in Oregon and houses almost 2 million volumes. 
BROWSING ROOM RESERVATIONS
The historic Knight Library Browsing Room is available for reservations.

Knight Library offers a variety of quiet spaces to read, study, write, and reflect.

East Asian Collection and Study Area

The Asian Collection space in Knight Library has been redesigned to enrich research, reading, and study experiences. The updated area includes enhanced shelving and improved access to the Chinese and Japanese reference collections, East Asian popular reading materials, and current Chinese and Japanese journals and magazines. New seating options are also available to accommodate both quiet study and collaborative work.
