Knight Library has a reservable study room for caregivers and children, known as the “ABC 123 Room." This new space allows UO students, faculty, and staff who are parents or caregivers to access resources and learning supports in the library and the ability to study for extended periods, including outside of regular business hours when schools or childcare facilities are closed.
Congratulations to Hannah Gershone (MS ‘23, Env Studies), who was accepted to Simmons University's Master of Library and information science program and received the Society of American Archivists’ (SAA) Josephine Forman Scholarship! It will pay her tuition for the two-year program and fund her in a full-time position with benefits in the Simmons Library.
The Student Spotlight feature highlights the contributions our UO Libraries’ student employees make every day. There are more than 160 of them contributing to our endeavors each year and helping to make UO Libraries an amazing place to research, study, and learn.
Each term UO librarians lead free workshops for students and faculty, covering topics from data analysis to citation management tools. These teaching librarians value information literacy highly and strive to provide learners with skills to be successful in any field. Most workshops are offered in a hybrid mode, making them accessible to students anywhere.
