Knight Innovate, Design, Educate, Aspire (IDEA) Space
About the space
Created in conjunction with students from the University Innovation Fellows and the Lundquist College of Business, the Knight Library IDEA Space (Innovate, Design, Educate, Aspire) offers an environment designed to enhance the creative, idea-generation process for University of Oregon students. The room contains ample white boards and a variety of standing and sitting work areas.
The IDEA Space is intended to be a conversational environment. In addition to complying with all other library policies, users of the IDEA Space must maintain a moderate noise level or lower in the room. The room is not soundproof; loud talking disturbs other users and staff in adjoining rooms.
Users are responsible for their personal property at all times. The UO Libraries is not liable for loss or damage to personal property. Food and drinks are permitted in the space, but it is the responsibility of users to leave the room in a clean, orderly condition. Please clean the white boards after use. Leave the lights on in the room when leaving the space. Furniture and supplies in the IDEA Space must stay in the room.
The UO Libraries reserves the right to suspend room privileges for users who do not comply with established policies.
Availability
The IDEA Space is available to currently enrolled UO students, faculty, and staff during regular Knight Library hours. The IDEA Space is not intended for ongoing classes or recurring events. The room is non-reservable, available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and may be used simultaneously by multiple groups.
