The UO Portland Library welcomes community members and campus visitors, including alumni, researchers and students, event attendees, and guests. This page highlights services available to the public, with links to more detailed information. As an academic library, the Portland Library prioritizes UO coursework and research while remaining open to visitors during building hours. Visitors are expected to follow UO Libraries conduct guidelines to help maintain a welcoming, scholarly environment.

Looking to reserve a space?
Contact Portland Scheduling and Event Services for inquiries about renting conference rooms or using other campus spaces.
Internet Access
Visitors may use library kiosk computers for internet and library resource access. Use is generally limited to 20 minutes per day and includes access to printers and most library subscription resources. Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult when using kiosk computers.
Free WiFi
Visitors may connect personal devices to the UO Guest wireless network. Guest WiFi does not provide access to UO Libraries subscription resources.
Scanning
Free document and book scanners are available. Visit the library service desk for assistance with scanning, scan to email, select desktop scanners, and basic internet fax services.
Printing / Copying
Printing and copying require a free PaperCut account and Duck Bucks card with prepaid funds. The library service desk can assist with basic printing or copying to letter, legal, and tabloid size paper.
For high quality or specialized services—including wide format printing, vinyl cutting, portfolio binding, lamination, and multimedia consultation—visit the Portland Output Room in the Portland Campus Center.
