Unique or rare gifts or donations relevant to the history or culture of Oregon including the University of Oregon should be offered to Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA). Because of our stringent collection development criteria and the costs of reviewing, storing, and processing donations, we must decline most offers of gift books for the general collections. The UO Libraries welcome monetary gifts, as these can be used to acquire resources that have been specifically selected by the libraries. We recommend donating your materials to the Friends of Eugene Public Library or another public library. Please note, materials donated to UO Libraries become university property and, in accordance with UO Surplus Property Disposal Policy, cannot be returned.
The UO Libraries is unable to accept offers of items in poor physical condition, as determined by library employees.
