John Zhang works on special projects, such as the development of institutional repositories (Scholar’s Bank) and the technical aspects of some grant proposals. He has over 20 years of experience as a software developer, with a focus on Java, JavaScript/TypeScript and other programming languages. He is proficient in developing applications from front-end to back-end and has a strong knowledge of open repository applications such as DSpace, DSpace-CRIS, and Samvera. Besides his part-time support to UO Libraries, he works at the University of Oklahoma and has previously worked at Harvard University and McGill University.
