Registration

The UO Libraries’ online integrated library system allows researchers to register themselves, and to request materials. Please read our guidelines for use of our materials before registering. 

Affiliated with the UO or Oregon Card members

If you are AFFILIATED with the UO, or have an Oregon Card, you already have a library patron account. However, when you visit our Reading Room, SCUA staff will need to verify your identity, even if you have registered with us previously. You must present a valid government-issued ID (driver’s license, state identification card, or passport). Your university ID does not satisfy this security requirement. Additionally, you will need to agree to our reading room guidelines on an annual basis. To request materials in advance of a research trip, please see the section below on Requesting Materials

Not affiliated with the UO 

If you are NOT AFFILIATED with the UO, you will need to request a patron account. Patrons only need to complete this registration one time. If you require assistance accessing your account, please contact our reference email.You may register in person, or remotely using our online registration form. Once your registration has been accepted, you will receive an email with an assigned Library ID and a temporary password. This will be your permanent Library ID and cannot be changed. You should change your temporary password by clicking on the My account/Personal Settings. When you arrive to do research, we require that you present a valid driver’s license, state identification card, or passport.
