Academic Workstations
Require users to login with a valid DuckID and they can be found throughout the Knight Library (including the Cinema Studies Lab), as well in the Design (DES) Library, the Math Library, the Lloyd and Dorothy Rippey Library (OIMB), the Price Science Commons & Research Library, the Portland Library and Learning Commons.
Both Windows and Mac computers are used for academic workstations, with software suites like Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, have large flat panel displays, and allow patrons to use the Internet, work on papers, and create presentations. Each machine can print to the library's laser black and white or color printers. Some computers have scanners attached.

Internet Only Kiosks
The UO Libraries offers public Internet only workstations, or kiosks, in all campus libraries. The primary function of these public workstations is to provide the widest possible access for research purposes. The workstations offer a choice of Web browser, audio and video support, and the ability to download files to a USB drive. Public workstations provide full access to the library catalog, the libraries' electronic databases and resources, information about the libraries, and open Internet access. Public workstations are available on a first come/first served basis. To insure equitable access for all users, sessions on public workstations are limited to 30 minutes.
Laptop Computers
Laptop Checkout for UO Students, Staff, and Faculty are available to current University of Oregon students for up to four hours in the Price Science Commons & Research Library and from the Knight Library Checkout & Reserves Desk.
