The Special Collections and University Archives is the official repository of the University of Oregon's permanent historical records dating from 1872 to present. The collection was created to collect, describe, preserve, and provide access to permanent records created or received in connection with the transaction of university affairs. The archives include administrative records, university publications, theses and dissertations, photographic prints and negatives, audio tapes, film, and memorabilia reflecting history and events connected to the history of the University.
