Room Policies and Guidelines

Availability

  • Study rooms are limited for use only by current UO students, staff, and faculty.
    • Some rooms will have blackout periods reserved for select classes and programs with student breakout sessions.
  • Study rooms are first-come access during all open building hours. Advanced reservations starting Fall 2024. 
    • Open study areas and TalkBox booths are available to all library visitors on a first-come basis. 
    • Use of classrooms and conference rooms requires advanced reservation with Scheduling and Event Services, https://pdx.uoregon.edu/scheduling.   

Guidelines

  • Please maintain a scholarly environment at all times.
  • Study rooms are intended for individual and group study related to academic activities.
  • Time limits for individuals or groups is generally 4 hours per day.
  • Be mindful of noise levels and use of audio devices as many rooms are not soundproof. 
  • Drinks in closed containers and reasonable food are allowed; clean up and report spills.
