Heghine Hakobyan, Librarian for Slavic, German and Scandinavian Studies, is also an Interim Librarian for Religious and Judaic Studies. Heghine significantly contributes to the University of Oregon Libraries’ mission of supporting research by bridging the gap between library resources and the academic community’s needs. She provides support in cataloging, collection development, research, instruction, outreach and engagement, and technological integration.
Embracing these evolving roles, she has pursued collaborative interdisciplinary projects with other subject specialists and academic departments, as well as facilitated digital shifts in library resources, such as online databases, e-books, digital archives, and repositories.
