SCUA Archivists Earn Digital Archives Specialist Certification

Four archivists from UO's Special Collections and University Archives have been certified as Digital Archives Specialists by the Society of American Archivists. Certification requires completing a minimum of nine courses on topics such as digital forensics, electronic records arrangement and description, accessibility and user experience, preservation tools, and more; as well as passing individual course exams and a program comprehensive exam. Additionally, SCUA staff have been hard at work over the past year implementing new digital forensics equipment and developing robust workflows for processing and preserving born-digital material. 

Our newly minted Digital Archives Specialists are:
