About the AI Consultation Station

The AI Consultation Station helps UO students, faculty, and staff learn how to use AI tools effectively, responsibly, and in support of their learning or work. We offer guidance on popular AI platforms, help you improve your prompts, and clarify when and how AI use is appropriate for your classes or projects

What We Do

We provide drop-in support for using AI tools, writing effective prompts, comparing platforms, and understanding ethical and academic-integrity expectations. Whether you’re brainstorming, studying, or exploring AI for a project, we’ll help you use these tools in ways that support your learning and align with your course requirements.

What We Do Not Do

The AI Consultation Station supports your learning, but there are limits to what we can provide. We don’t generate homework or assignment solutions, override your instructor’s AI policies, share paid accounts, or troubleshoot technical problems with AI tools. If you’re unsure what’s allowed in your course, we can help you locate your instructor’s stated policies and point you to the appropriate person for clarification.
