UO Faculty and GEs can book audio and video material for classroom use. This is different than placing a hold. Booking media materials ensures that the item is available for you on the day you need it and prevents check out to another borrower.
- Please see the Requesting at UO Libraries LibGuide for instructions on how to submit a media booking request.
- Booked Audio and video material check out for six days, plus one renewal.
- Items on Course Reserves may only be booked for four hours.
- Please consider shipping time when booking material that needs to travel through mail, if you request pickup at a different UO Libraries branch.
- Requests should be submitted as far in advance as possible, but at least four business days before the expected use.
- Faculty/GEs may send a library proxy to pick up booked media.
- Faculty may arrange for a classroom assistant to pick up the material, but must contact Library Staff in advance to schedule.
