All researchers may request to have SCUA materials pulled prior to a research visit. Non UO-affiliated researchers will need to register first.
Submit your request through LibrarySearch, the library's online public access catalog. You will receive a notification through email when the materials are available for research.
Follow these steps:
Perform your search in LibrarySearch and use the UO Libraries scope by clicking the arrow pointing downward in the box to the right of the search box and choosing UO Libraries:
Sign in by clicking the large green Sign in button:
If you are a current UO student, faculty, or staff, click the top option:
If you are a registered user but not affiliated with the UO, click the Oregon Care, Alumni Association & other registered guest borrowers:
Type in your Library ID Number and your Password:
If you have successfully logged in, you will see your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen:
You have now signed in to LibrarySearch.
Find the item of interest in the list of results and click on the title. It if is a book, click on the Request UO item link. If it is a manuscript collection, the Request UO Item link will be beside the box number:
You will now see Details of title you requested. In the comment field, please indicate your intended research visit date(s). Complete your request by clicking the Request button:
You will receive a notification through email when the materials are available for research.
