The UO Portland Library and Learning Commons maintains several rooms and spaces available for classes, student use, research, and open study. Priority use of the library rooms is for University of Oregon students, instructors, and academic support providers. Spaces within the library are available only during regular library hours by reservation and for drop-in use when not reserved. Rooms include a group study and classroom located on the lower level of the Library (WSB 072A), a small study room on the main floor (WSB 172A) and an individual quiet study booth (WSB 172).
The Skidmore Computer Classroom (WSB 374) and adjacent workroom (374A) are available for student use all building access hours anytime classes and testing sessions are not scheduled. The weekly schedule is posted outside the room entrance. Access to computers in 374 and 374A is unavailable while classes and testing or scheduled events are taking place.
Reserve spaces are available via same day and advanced bookings handled through our automated room reservation system, LibCal. Advanced room requests may also be emailed to email@example.com, for approval by Library staff. Individual students and student groups may use these rooms for drop-in study by asking at the library service desk. All current UO Portland students have access to the Student Lounge located on the main floor of the White Stag Block. UO Portland Academic Affairs makes available additional general pool classrooms and event spaces for use as study space when classes and events are not held. These arrangements can be made in advance using their request form. Immediate requests can be made by phone to UO Portland Event Services at (503) 412-3699.
