About the Science Library UO Science Library

The Price Science Commons & Research Library (extension 6-3075), located in and under the courtyard surrounded by Willamette, Cascade, Onyx, and Klamath halls, houses most of the UO Libraries' print monographs related to the sciences of biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, and environmental studies. Journals are largely available through the library website, although a small print collection is housed off-site with articles or volumes available by request.  We have science-specialist reference librarians available during weekday hours, and borrowing and information staff available all hours the library is open.

The Price Science Commons & Research Library has four internet-only workstations available for searching the library catalog and performing other internet searches, and about 25 academic workstations with various licensed software which require a UO log-in. These workstations have additional software and hardware.

Staff from the Price Science Commons & Research Library also maintain and staff the Mathematics Library, which will reopen for Fall 2021.  Materials can be paged from the Math collection, and can be retrieved from there when it's open.

If you are a UO borrower and wish to obtain materials from the Science Library, but wish to pick them up at another branch (or vice-versa), you may do so by placing a hold and selecting a pickup location in the Libraries' catalog.
