Poetry Reading and Discussion with Catherine Woodard

Catherine Woodard, author of the poetry collection Opening the Mouth of the Dead (lone goose press), will read from her work and discuss book art collaborations with Sandy Tilcock, proprietor of lone goose press, and David de Lorenzo, Giustina Director, Special Collections and University Archives. Refreshments will be provided.
Opening the Mouth of the Dead is the first trade paperback and limited-edition letterpress book art simultaneously published by Tilcock. It's a story in poems inspired by the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, about a family in a small town in the South longing for connection.
Other lone goose authors include W.S. Merwin, Barry Lopez, Wendell Berry & Naomi Shihab Nye. Private collectors & more than 75 institutions have lone goose press publications in their holdings, including the Brooklyn Museum, the Whitney Museum, and the British Library.
