Your voice. Your Libraries. Your time to be heard!
Take the survey and help us improve.
How well is the UO Libraries meeting your library needs? We are conducting a short survey to learn how UO students, faculty, and staff feel about library services, resources, and spaces. Your participation will help us understand what we're doing well, what we can do better, and how we compare with other university libraries.
You can help!
Take the survey! All students, faculty and staff are welcome to participate. It is open from January 22 to February 16 and requires about 5 minutes of your time. Participation is voluntary and anonymous. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. By completing the survey, participants verify that they are 18 and consent to participate in this research.
If you have any questions about your rights as a research subject, you may contact: Research Compliance Services, University of Oregon at (541) 346-2510 or ResearchCompliance@uoregon.edu.
Incentives for participation
UO students who take the survey can enter a drawing and be eligible to win one of two $250 Visa gift cards or one of ten $20 Visa gift cards. Enter by including your UO email address in the optional field at the end of the survey. Your email address will only be used for the drawing, and will not be linked to your survey responses. We will notify the winners after the survey has concluded.
Please be aware, compensation for participation in research may be considered taxable income. The University requires tracking for compensation that is paid to you; this may include your name and contact information. This information is stored confidentially and separate from research data. If you receive $600 or more in a calendar year, you may be contacted to provide additional information (e.g. Social Security Number) for tax reporting purposes.

LibQUAL+® is an international library survey used to find out what library users think of the service quality in their libraries. Over 1,200 libraries worldwide participate in LibQUAL+®, so we are also able to see how we’re doing compared to similar libraries. To learn more, visit the LibQUAL+ website.
The goals of LibQUAL+® are to:
- Foster a culture of excellence in providing library service
- Help libraries better understand user perceptions of library service quality
- Collect and interpret library user feedback systematically over time
- Provide libraries with comparable assessment information from peer institutions
How does your feedback help?
We take your comments seriously. Based on past campus feedback, we have:
- Redesigned the library website for easier use and added context-sensitive help.
- Developed guides to doing research in most majors.
- Increased the number of reservable study rooms and made them easier to schedule.
- Increased the access and reliability of our online resources.
