The University of Oregon Libraries Special Collections and University Archives is always looking for volunteers. Special Collections and University Archives is part of the UO Libraries and is the unit that holds rare, unique, and valuable materials. The volunteer's main responsibility is to register researchers to use our materials. This entails greeting researchers, introducing or reviewing rules and regulations for the use of our materials, entering researcher's personal information into a database, and checking researchers’ materials upon exit. Volunteers may work on other smaller project when the Paulson Reading Room is not busy, such as transcribing diaries, searching gift books, identifying materials, etc. Please contact Lauren Goss for more information.
