How to Request Materials

All researchers may request to have SCUA materials pulled prior to a research visit.  Non UO-affiliated researchers will need to register first.

Submit your request through LibrarySearch, the library's online public access catalog.

You will receive a notification through email when the materials are available for research.

Once you have found an item in LibrarySearch, click on the Find in a library tab below the title.  Right below this tab will appear a UO Libraries users sign in to see request options link.  This will take you to the sign-in page.

UO-affiliated researchers should click the top, Current UO students, faculty and staff link to sign in.

Registered non UO-affiliated researcher should click the middle Oregon Card, Alumni Association & other registered guest borrowers link to sign in.

Once you have signed in, the system will automatically take you to the catalog record for the material.  Locate the item from the list.  Click the corresponding Request UO item link at the lower right-hand side.  Note that large collections have multiple pages.  To navigate, click the numbers located in the middle of the page.

If you are making a research visit, please make your requests as soon as you can within three weeks of your visit.  We cannot hold items for more than three weeks, and requests made more than three weeks before a research visit will be cancelled.

You will receive a notification through email when the materials are available for research.
