Registration

The UO Libraries’ online integrated library system allows researchers to register themselves, and to request materials. Please read our guidelines for use of our materials before registering.

All materials must be requested via the UO Libraries catalog at least 5 business days in advance. You will receive an email notification when your items are ready to be viewed in the reading room.

Current UO Faculty, Staff, and Students

Use your Duck ID to login to your library patron account to request materials from the library catalog. However, when you visit our Reading Room, SCUA staff will need to verify your identity, even if you have registered with us previously. You must present a valid government-issued ID (driver’s license, state identification card, or passport). Your university ID does not satisfy this security requirement. Additionally, you will need to agree to our reading room guidelines on an annual basis. To request materials in advance of a research trip, please review the instructions on Requesting Materials.

General Public

If you are NOT AFFILIATED with the UO, or you do not have an Oregon Card, you will need to request a patron account using our online registration form. Patrons only need to complete this registration one time.

Once your registration has been accepted, you will receive an email with a permanently assigned User ID and a temporary password (can change by accessing My Account/Personal Settings).

If you require assistance accessing your account, please contact our reference email. You can reset your password on your own if you remember your User ID or email address used to create your account.

When you arrive to do research, we require that you present a valid driver’s license, state identification card, or passport. To request materials in advance of a research trip, please review the instructions on Requesting Materials.
