The Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference

The Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference will be held at Stanford University on February 3, 2017. The conference in Palo Alto is sold out -- but you don't have to leave Eugene to attend! UO Libraries will be live-streaming the full event in the Price Science Commons and Research Library (PSC) Visualization Lab.
The 2017 WiDS Conference will feature speakers from businesses, government, and academia presenting keynotes, several technical vision talks, and a career panel. More information, including the full conference agenda, is available at the WiDS website.
The Visualization Lab (downstairs in PSC) will be open throughout the morning sessions (9 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.) and afternoon sessions (1:40 p.m. – 5 p.m.) on February 3. (Note that the conference lunch break lunch break is scheduled for 12:10 – 1:40 p.m.). Attendees are welcome to come and go throughout the day, but seats in the Visualization Lab will be available on a first come, first served basis.
