Annie Zeidman-Karpinski Named Singer Science Librarian
The University of Oregon Libraries is pleased to announce that Annie Zeidman-Karpinski has been named the first Singer Science Librarian.
Kenneth M. and Kenda H. Singer established the Endowed Science Librarian fund, which is dedicated to promoting and enhancing science scholarship through library teaching and service. Their generous gift will support a librarian position and program expenditures in the forthcoming Allan Price Science Commons and Research Library.
A graduate of the masters in library and information science program at UCLA, Zeidman-Karpinski has served with distinction as a science librarian with the UO Libraries since 2002. In addition to supporting student learning and research, her service has encompassed teaching, publications, conference presentations, and faculty outreach.
