Library Communications and Marketing
Communications and Marketing promotes the educational mission of the UO Libraries and its relationship with the academic community through the development of original graphic design and photography, copywriting and editing, exhibits, special events, audio-video content, and social media outreach.
The library's home page and linked news page provide up-to-date information on all aspects of library operations affecting our users. Visit the news page for announcements about events, services, and resources designed to facilitate academic research and instruction.
The library publishes Building Knowledge twice yearly to inform our friends and users about collections, acquisitions, and facility and service improvements made as the result of gifts and other forms of support. Library Lowdown is an online newsletter designed especially for University of Oregon students. News You Can Use, the library's faculty online newsletter, covers library developments of direct interest to UO faculty members. Links to current and past issues of all these publications.
Communications and Marketing manages the UO Stock Photos collection which features up-to-date photographs of campus scenes, buildings, and happenings. To browse the collection or order an image, visit the UO Stock Photos collection.
Each year, the UO Libraries presents a number of educational exhibits intended to highlight the strengths and diversity of the library's collections, promote special programs and campus events, and celebrate library and university milestones and accomplishments. Our program of current exhibits.
