The Oregon Rare Books Initiative (ORBI) seeks to publicize the UO Libraries’ wonderful early print and manuscript collections, most of which are housed in Special Collections and University Archives in Knight Library. The series of talks covering some of the collections is meant to encourage the use of rare books and manuscripts in the classroom and stimulate an intellectual community gathered around the history of the book.

The ORBI schedule of talks for the remainder of the year is as follows.

Thursday, May 15, 2014, 4:00 p.m.
In the Workshop of the Mind: The Role of Amanuenses in Early Modern Europe, with Ann Blair (Harvard University), Oregon Rare Books Iniatiative, Knight Library Browsing Room, free (UO Libraries cosponsors)
