Library Resources for Reporting

 

Here are some library resources that you can use for finding background material on topics.

Oregon Media Directory searches local newspaper, television, and radio for background on local and regional topics.

Lexis Nexis provides the full text of newspaper stories from around the country.

The UO Library web page offers a default search box that provides an overview of books, articles, and media in libraries throughout the country.

The UO Library offers several hundred databases, from which you can look at articles from academic journals, periodicals, and newspapers.

Government documents are a rich source of information on public policy topics.

Journalists' Resource provides background on news topics. The site is administered by Harvard's Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy
