Nancy Cunningham to serve as director of branch libraries

The UO Libraries is pleased to announce the appointment of Nancy A. Cunningham to serve as the new Director of Branch Libraries. She begins work on March 1, 2019.

Nancy will bring more than 30 years of library experience to bear on her new role, providing administrative, programmatic, and operational oversight for the Portland Library and Learning Commons, the Design Library, and the Science Libraries, which include the Allan Price Science Commons and Research Library, the Mathematics Library and the Rippey Library at the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology.

Nancy comes to the University of Oregon from the University of South Florida, Tampa, where she has served as the Director of Librarian Liaison Services and the Director of Academic Services, in addition to her current role as the liaison librarian for the university’s Muma College of Business, plus the departments of Communication, Economics, Women’s and Gender Studies, and World Languages. Nancy received her MLIS from UC Berkeley and an MBA degree from St. Mary’s University in Texas. In accepting the position, Nancy said that she is looking forward to working with a great team and Go Ducks!
