Forest Atlas of the National Forests of the Unites States

NOTE: While we have an extensive collection of National Forest maps, we do not have every map listed in this guide.

Location codes: NA = National Archives; LC = Library of
Congress, Geography and Map Division; YA = Yale School of Forestry Library;
NAL = National Agricultural Library

NOTE: All folios measure 54 x 46 cm. and are similar in
format to the folios of the Geologic Atlas of the United States
issued by the U.S. Geological Survey between 1894 and 1945. Each forest
atlas sheet covers six townships or less. They were issued
unbound in heavy cardstock paper folders. Folders include the title
information and sheet arrangement diagram.
