Room Usage Policies

Study Rooms | Presentation Practice | Classroom 103 | Faculty/Student Study

 

Study rooms (114, 115, and 116)

  • Use of rooms: discussion/group study/research/video viewing sessions for specific UO credit classes.
  • Reservations are limited to a 2-hour timespan.
  • Prohibited use: UO credit classes; commercial use (for example, fee-based tutoring); organizational meetings; and general "study table" purposes.
  • group study roomRequests to book these spaces can only be made after the first day of the term, for the current term only.
  • UO students may reserve these rooms for two-hour sessions for groups of 3 - 6. Due to high demand, students may request one booking per week per class. Reservations found to be non-compliant will be subject to review and possible deletion.
  • Reservation requests need to be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day prior. For Saturday and Sunday reservations, your request must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday of that week. Reservation requests made after the designated times will not be honored.
  • A sign will be posted outside the room each morning listing that day's reservations.
  • Online booking: Login to 25Live and submit a request.
  • When these rooms are not reserved, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Individual users may be asked to leave if needed by groups of 3 or more.

 

Practice Presentation room (113)

  • Use of room: presentation practice/discussion/group study/research/video viewing sessions for specific UO credit classes..
  • Reservations are limited to a 2-hour timespan.

Faculty/Student Study (room 118)

  • Use of room: class preparation/meeting with students/other faculty needs and discussion/group study/research/video viewing sessions for specific UO credit classes.
  • Room has 3 computers and a large screen display to use with laptop. Print to the multipurpose machine in the Library Commons.
  • Prohibited use: classes; commercial use (for example, fee-based tutoring).
  • Restricted to faculty, staff, and GTF usage from 8am-5pm. Availabel to students after 5pm.

 

Classroom 103

  • Use of room: academic presentations, library workshops, and presentation practice/discussion/group study/research/video viewing sessions for specific UO credit classes. Activities will need to include a library component to be able to use this room.
  • Room has equipment found in classrooms across campus, including the Crestron touch panel, a large display screen, document camera, and DVD player. Room technology details.
  • Prohibited use: UO credit classes; commercial use (for example, fee-based tutoring); organizational meetings.
  • Only faculty, staff, and GTFs may reserve this room. Reservations found to be non-compliant will be subject to review and possible deletion.
  • Requests to book these spaces can only be made after the first day of the term, for the current term only.

The Library is not responsible for personal items left in the rooms.  Please do not leave your belongings unattended in unlocked study spaces. Found items are taken to the Housing Service Center.

Return any library items that are checked out to the library assistance desk as Library materials left in study rooms are not checked in before reshelving.

Please leave rooms in good order.
