Canvas Support for Instructors
We love seeing and working with you! Please contact us for support:
Here are some resources to help you use Canvas at UO more effectively:
The next place to turn for help is the Help button at the bottom of the navigation bar on the left side of the screen in a Canvas coursesite. On the window that pops up there are links to the following help items:
Search the Canvas Guides -- the Canvas Instructor's Guide, fully searchable [note that a few sections of this guide references Canvas products that the UO does not license, e.g. ePortfolio and web services
UO Canvas Workshkops for Faculty & Staff -- Upcoming workshop dates with descriptions of the workshop and a form for registration are available here
Ask UO Canvas Support -- Fill out this form to get assistance with questions about Canvas, or when Canvas isn't working as it should
UO Canvas Help Resources -- Begin here!
Ask the Canvas Community -- a website provided by Instructure, Inc. with a wide variety of information and tutorials for instructors, including links to videos, community discussion forums, and more.
There are other options on this screen, but this section highlights the items that provide support

Assistance in person for instructors
UO LIbraries' CMET can answer Canvas questions and provide training for faculty and staff. Instructors can visit Room 19, Knight Library, or call 346-1942 for an appointment or the answer to a quick question.
We offer Canvas workshops for instructors throughout the year and by request. See our current workshop schedule here or contact us to schedule a workshop for instructors in your department, customized to your specific needs.
Instructors can also report problems or get responses to specific questions by completing our trouble ticketing system survey. The trouble ticketing system is monitored regularly during normal business hours, and you can expect a response usually within one business day.
