Knight Library's service hours have recently been revised.
Hours of operation for the first nine weeks of the 2016 fall term are:
- Mon-Thur: 7 a.m. - 2 a.m.
- Fri: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
- Sat: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
- Sun: 9 a.m. - 2 a.m.
There will be more limited library hours during the week of Thanksgiving Vacation. Beginning Sunday, November 28, Knight Library will be open 24 hours through the end of final exams.
These changes are in accordance with UO Libraries' best understanding of patron demand. Statistics on library usage demonstrate that, outside of the final exams period, occupancy of the building declines sharply after 2 a.m.
The library's service model has also been revised to extend the hours when our professional staff will be accessible to students and other library patrons. Under the old model, all professional staff left the building by 9 p.m. We will now have professional and knowledgeable library staff members on-site to help patrons until 2 a.m., when the library closes. A security officer will also be on duty in the library during late-night hours.
