The Library advertises positions at the Graduate School jobsite for Graduate Employees each spring. Generally, the Library has six positions each year (at .4 FTE or .49 FTE). Some assignments are renewable, pending satisfactory service and available funding. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a graduate program for the upcoming term of appointment for a minimum of 9 graduate credit hours toward the degree throughout the term.

GEs appointed at .20 FTE (10 hours per week) and above are exempt from payment of the instruction fee for up to 16 credit hours taken in any term to which the appointment applies. Salary depends on FTE and GE level of employment (doctoral candidates may be appointed at higher levels, depending on prior experience).
