The social fraternity Alpha Tau Omega was founded in 1865 at the Virginia Military Institute, and the Oregon Gamma Phi chapter was founded in 1910 and was closed in 2000. The collection contains historical information, a member directory, pledge song information, and issues of the chapter publication, The Bumper, 1954-1966.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia was established for male musicians in 1898 as a secret society, and in 1900 became a collegiate fraternity. The collection contains the University of Oregon’s Psi Chapter records including a fraternity scrapbook, correspondence, and records of honorary members.

Pi Mu Epsilon dedicates itself to the promotion of mathematics and recognition of students who successfully pursue mathematical understanding. The University of Oregon Chapter, Oregon Alpha, was established in 1931 but is now inactive. Collection includes correspondence, initiation material, and artifacts from this fraternity, 1925-1930′s.

The Beta Iota chapter of Sigma Chi at the University of Oregon was chartered in 1910 and although their charter was pulled in 1996, with the help of Sigma Chi members from Oregon State University, the Beta Iota chapter was re-chartered in 2000. The collection contains correspondence, meeting minutes, programs, financial records, Greek life materials, office files, a publication of the history of Beta Iota, membership and nomination information including academic data, semi-centennial celebration and convention information.

Sigma Xi  was founded in 1886 (nationally) to honor excellence in scientific investigation and encourage a sense of companionship and cooperation among researchers in all fields of science and engineering. The Society of the Sigma Xi, University of Oregon Chapter, was founded in 1923 after a two year effort. Collection contains office files, correspondence, financial records, fraternity records, chapter book, and historical information.

Theta Nu Epsilon (TNE) was a secret inter-fraternity group at University of Oregon whose members were suspected of trying to rig ASUO elections. The collection contains a TNE oath and ritual guide, ASUO election and voting records, affidavits by students admitting membership, newspaper clippings, and correspondence between UO administrators, fraternity officials, students, and other universities.
