Richard A. Holberg (1889-1942) was a commercial artist and illustrator, who also illustrated children’s books that were authored by his wife, Ruth Langland Holberg. The collection contains illustrations for Glouster Boy (1940), written by Ruth Holberg and illustrated by Richard Holberg.

James Webb Young (1886-1973) had a long career in advertising as the head of the Advertising Council, as key figure with J. Walter Thompson company, and with varied national and government agencies. The collection (1933-1972) contains printed and published documents pertaining to Young’s career in advertising and also speeches, photographs, working notes, personal scrapbooks, Christmas cards designed by Young, autobiographical material, and files regarding his professional service and employment.

Frederick C. Proehl (1880-1970) was a banker, a grocer, worked for Boeing, and was a member of the Greenback political party, which nominated him for President in 1952 and 1956. The collection (1943-1970) contains correspondence, letters written to newspapers, speeches, a masters thesis regarding the Greenback Party by Proehl’s grand-nephew, and publications of the Monetary Reform Committee.
