Hours for spring term, April 2 through June 15 are as follows:

• Monday-Friday, 10am to 4:30pm
• Saturday, 11am to 4:30pm
• Sunday, closed

Paging ceases half an hour before closing.

We encourage travelers to contact us before planning a trip so we can confirm our hours and make sure the collections you need are available when you arrive.

Paging materials from our off site storage location may take additional time as well are currently down two staff members.  Please contact us with as much advance notice if you know the materials you are interested in seeing are stored off site.

The Philologian Society was a student group at the University of Oregon. The collection contains one hand-written record book of minutes, 1893-1903.

In 1876, by an Act of the Oregon Legislature, the University of Oregon Board of Regents was vested with governance of the University of Oregon; a role that lasted until 1929. The collection includes meetings minutes, correspondence and memos of the Regents from 1879-1929.

Thomas R. Cornelius (1827-1899) was a pioneer and member of the Oregon Mounted Volunteers during the Cayuse and Yakima Indian Wars.  The collection consists of a single letter to his wife written during his military service.

Dwight E. Mitchell (1898-1988) was a teacher, journalist, and writer who investigated and wrote about education and teaching. The collection contains correspondence, manuscripts, notebooks and diaries, college and university teaching materials, tearsheets, interviews and biographical files, and books.

Frederick Mason DeNeffe (1882-1965) was educated at the University of Michigan and starting in 1907 he worked as an attorney in Portland, Oregon. The collection contains legal files regarding oil, coal, gas, silver, sugar, and mining companies.

An active participant in early Oregon government, John Kelly (1818-) was an Irishman and a Republican.  The collection consists of Kelly’s correspondence, as well as some assorted bills and receipts.
