I get an error saying that Im missing a plug-in when I try to open documents in Blackboard.
Some students who use Macs find that PDF type documents will not open correctly when they are using recent versions of Safari or Firefox on Macs. Instead, Blackboard gives them an almost-blank window with an error saying that a plug-in is missing.

Occasionally, a test is formatted in a way that is incompatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Problems also exist with Google Chrome. Most issues with Blackboard are browser-related and can be solved by either switching to a different browser or clearing your browser's cache. Blackboard is compatible with both Mac and PC, but it does require a fairly modern web browser, with cookies, Javascript, Java, and SSL enabled.
