The University of Oregon Libraries provides two types of workstations for use by library patrons. Academic Stations offer UO students, faculty and staff a full suite of applications for Internet access and software needed for word processing, presentations and graphic work. These workstations have been designed to address the blended teaching, learning and research needs of our primary users. A UO ID, Duck ID, is required when using an Academic Station.

The Libraries also offer more than 30 Internet only workstations, with Internet only computers available in all campus libraries. The new workstations offer a choice of Web browser, improved audio and video support, and the ability to download files to a USB drive. Internet Only workstations provide full access to the library catalog, the library's electronic databases and resources, information about the library, and open Internet access. Internet only stations may have a time limit to insure equitable access during busy times.
