Printing in the EMU

EMU Computer Lab - Color / Windows

To add the EMU Color (RICOH Aficio MP C2551 Color) printer to your laptop, follow the instructions below:

1. Go to your Devices and Printers Control Panel

2. Select ‘Add a Printer’ from the toolbar at the top

3. Choose Local Printer

4. Create a new TCP/IP Port

5. Under Device Type, Select TCP/IP Device

Fill in Hostname or IP address: “lib-kni-ps01”

Port name: “EMU_Color”

Uncheck the box next to “Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use

Detecting the TCP/IP port may take some time…

6. Under Device Type, select Custom and open the “Settings…” Menu

7. Under Protocol, Select “LPR”

Under LPR Settings, the Queue Name is : “EMU_Color”

Check the box next to “LPR Byte Counting Enabled”

8. Under Manufacturer, Select Ricoh

Under Printers, Select C2551

9. Name the printer "EMU Color"

10. You’re finished! Well, not quite...

Back in the Devices and Printers window, right click your new printer, select Printer Properties

11. Verify that the Duplexer is installed

The printer "EMU Color" should now be available as a printer choice.
