Bookmarks for Library Databases
The UO LIbraries now manages access and links to our databases through the software, LibGuides, used for research guides. If you have a bookmark for one of the library's databases, you will need to update the URL in your bookmark to continue to go directly to the database.
You may be using a URL that looks like http://onesearch.uoregon.edu/databases/proxy/ORG01331 or http://library.uoregon.edu/dc/indexes.php?go=1&db-394.
To get the new URL for a database, locate your database in the A-Z Databases list.
You will see a link to the right of the database name. Note the lock with O indicates that you must be on campus or logged into the VPN to connect to the database.
Click on the link, which will open a small window that displays the URL that you can use in your bookmark. Open the properties or edit of your existing bookmark. You may be able to right click on the bookmark to get to the properties. Paste the URL in the location or URL box.
