Blackboard Basics - How do I clear my browser cache?
How do I clear my browser cache?
Here is our recommendation on supported browsers.
Before clearing your browser cache be sure to log out of Blackboard and any other sites and then close and restart your browser after clearing the cache. Then, instructions depend on the particular browser:
For Firefox:
On both Mac and PC look under tools and select "Clears Recent History"

Change the duration from "Last hour" to everything and make sure that "Cookies" and "Cache" have check marks next to them. The other items are optional, it won't make a difference if you delete them or not.
When finished, click "Clear now" to clear the data. The system may require a moment to process the data.
For Safari:
Click the "Safari" menu and then "Empty Cache...".

For Internet Explorer:
Click on the "Tools" menu, then "Internet Options".
Select the "General" tab and then click the "Delete..." button for "Browsing History".
On the next windows click "Delete files..." for "Temporary Internet Files".
For Google Chrome:
Click the Tools menu (the wrench in the upper-right corner) and select Options.
Click the Under the Hood tab and select Clear browsing data
Make sure that the box next to Empty the cache is checked and hit Clear Browsing Data
