About the UO Portland Library Learning Commons
We have strong collections in architecture, art and art history, and strategic communication. Our staff offers assistance with research, instructional technology support, and borrowing.
In addition to our on-site collections and services, we can help you access the rich collections of the UO Libraries in Eugene, and of the thirty-seven Summit member libraries in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Non-UO users can get an Oregon Card to borrow from the UO Libraries.
We support instructional technology for the White Stag Block, including the Output Room and Computer Classroom. In the Library, we provide UO faculty and students with several workstations with a full suite of productivity and design software. We also have a group study and classroom. For UO users needing help with CAD and Creative Suite tasks, we offer a student peer tutoring service.
Our mission is to enrich the student learning experience, encourage exploration and research at all levels, and contribute to advancements in access to scholarly resources, with particular emphasis on the needs of students and faculty in the UO's Portland-based programs.
