Thanks to a generous grant from the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics, a year-long project to inventory and conserve nearly 500 films contained in the Wayne Morse Film Collection housed in Special Collections and University Archives has been completed.

To celebrate the occasion, various films in the collection will be screened On Thursday, June 5, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Knight Library's Browsing Room.

The films have long been hidden from researchers, and this project will finally make them more accessible to students, faculty, and other researchers. Films from the collection include campaign commercials, home movies, speeches, and Morse’s appearances on television news.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
