Oregon Folklife Network Stages Panel Presentation, Open House, Thur., Apr. 18
On Thursday, April 18, the state’s cultural heritage will be celebrated through a panel presentation and open house hosted by the Oregon Folklife Network (OFN), which maintains offices in Knight Library on the UO campus.
The panel discussion, featuring three artists representing varied folklife backgrounds, will run from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Collaboration Center (Room 122) of Knight Library. Esther Stutzman (Kalapuya/Coos) will offer a blessing and traditional stories; Daniela Mahoney will speak about and demonstrate Slovak/Ukranian egg decorating, and Mark Ross will play traditional old time music as part of the presentation.
The open house will follow from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the OFN offices in Room 242 of Knight Library.
Both events are free and open to the public.
