Half-Day Insight Seminar Explores Literature and the Black Plague, Mar. 9

On Saturday, March 9, Marc Schachter, professor of Romance languages at the UO, will offer a half-day seminar entitled “Playing Through the Black Plague”. The seminar runs from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. in Knight Library’s Browsing Room with a fee of $45. Registration is required. Visit this link to register.

UO Insight Seminars, a program offered by the UO Libraries, were established in 2003 to provide an opportunity for the general public to re-engage with the liberal arts and experience the intellectual fulfillment that is the hallmark of a university education. They are led by UO faculty who are expert in the topics, who provide formal study guides and lead college-level discussion of the materials for ten hours of class time. For a complete list and description of Insight Seminars on tap for the 2012-13 academic year, visit https://library.uoregon.edu/node/3066.
